Indiana Recycler Opens C&D Operation

Green Tech Transfer & Recycling opens industrial and commercial recycling operations and begins equipment testing.

Green Tech Transfer & Recycling, South Bend, Ind., has announced the grand opening of its new material recovery facility (MRF) and transfer station.

 

The $3.5 million facility celebrated its grand opening on Earth Day, April 22, for industrial and commercial recycling operations and equipment testing. The facility is scheduled to be fully operational and open to the public by the second week of May.

 

Green Tech Transfer & Recycling will accept solid waste and construction debris, in addition to materials such as concrete, brick, block, wood and other scrap and debris. With construction completed later this summer, additional services of document destruction, paper recycling and other services will be offered with electronics recycling.

 

The Green Tech Park was formerly the Studebaker Plant 8 manufacturing facility. It is an Indiana restored Brownfield site and has been nominated for a Governor’s Excellence Award.
