Louis Sanzaro Sr., president of Ocean County Remanufacturing and the first president of the Construction Materials Recycling Association (CMRA), passed away on March 30, 2006, after a lengthy illness. He was 55.
Sanzaro was born and raised in New Jersey, and when he died both his residence and business were in Toms River. His company recycled many types of materials over the years, including wood, concrete, asphalt and tires.
“Lou’s death is a tremendous loss to the C&D recycling industry,” says William Turley, executive director, CMRA. “Not only was he supportive of the association, but he helped the industry by sharing his knowledge with all. In addition, as the first president, he provided invaluable business advice to make sure we set up the organization properly.”
