A portion of a building on Detroit’s east side was imploded Saturday morning, June 24, to make way for a new development. The Budd Wheel Building was part of Budd Co., a former metal fabricator and major and automobile body components supplier.
The building was brought down at 6:30 a.m. using what is described as a small amount of explosives. They were set off to disrupt building supports, according to reports.
Warren, Michigan-based real estate developer Crown Enterprises Inc. is redeveloping the land as part of a multimillion dollar automotive logistics project, a report on clickondetroit.com indicates.
