IFCO Systems announced the opening of two new pallet services facilities in Akron, Ohio and Detroit. The addition of these facilities brings IFCO Systems' total number of pallet service facilities to 57. The new locations are centrally located to bring pallet recycling, pallet retrieval and overall pallet management services to customers throughout Michigan and northern Ohio.
The Akron facility will service new customers as well as current customers.
The Detroit facility is situated has 32,000 square feet of covered space, with ample capacity for production and storage for just-in-time inventory services for area customers.
IFCO Systems is the nation's leading pallet services company. Last year, IFCO Systems restored or recycled about 60 million pallets.
"We are very excited to expand into these two new markets, and help customers reduce overall pallet cost through utilization of our extensive resources," adds Steve Means, manager of New Market Development. "These two new facilities, along with existing operations in Columbus, Indianapolis, and Chicago, allow IFCO to now offer our broad services to customers throughout the complete Great Lakes region.
