Humana Inc., a provider of health benefits, has announced that its
Humana’s
LEED certification for Humana was based on a number of green design and construction features that positively impact the project itself and the broader community. These include:
- Low-emission carpeting made from recycled content that can be easily replaced and recycled when worn
- Regionally purchased construction materials and furnishings to minimize transportation-related pollution and fuel-costs
- An office designed so that 75 percent of the space receives natural light
- An active recycling program
