Caterpillar University, the corporate learning arm of equipment manufacturer Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, Ill., has been recognized as one of the world’s top corporate universities, according to a release from the company.
Cat U took two first place Corporate University Best in Class (CUBIC) trophies in the areas of Best Evaluation Technique and Best Overall Corporate University at the sixth annual Corporate University Week, held Nov. 15-17, 2004, in Orlando, Fla.
In addition, David Vance, president of Caterpillar University, was presented the Corporate University Leader of the Year Award, according to Carey Bradshaw, director of production of the awards.
Cat U competed alongside more than 50 organizations from around the world that applied for consideration in the CUBICS awards, according to the release.
“This is a great recognition for everyone in Cat U, and I thank the global learning community for their dedication and hard work,” says Vance.
