Harsco Corp. announced that its Reed Minerals division has signed a multi-million-dollar agreement to supply roofing granules to TAMKO Roofing Products, a manufacturer of commercial and residential roofing and waterproofing products.
The two-year agreement draws upon Reed's network of roofing granule manufacturing plants as supply points to ensure uninterrupted product availability. Included is Reed's new portable plant in Thomas Hill, Mo., the division's first of this type, which is scheduled to begin operations in the second quarter of this year.
Reed Minerals is the largest manufacturer of slag abrasives in the United States' and the country's third largest manufacturer of roofing granules. The division has close to 20 production plants in 13 states.
