G-P Gypsum Corp. and BPB America Inc. have announced an agreement to settle all claims and counterclaims relating to a patent infringement suit filed by G-P Gypsum in September 2003.
The suit, which was scheduled to go to trial in June, alleged that BPB’s GlasRoc exterior sheathing infringed upon five G-P Gypsum patents.
Under the terms of the agreement, both parties will dismiss their claims against each other and both companies will continue to manufacture their respective products.
G-P Gypsum Corp. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Georgia-Pacific Corp., which is headquartered in Atlanta and manufactures tissue, packaging, paper and building products.
