Stoller Vineyards of Dayton, Ore., has announced the opening of its LEED-Certified winemaking facility.
The winery, located in the Willamette Valley town of Dayton, Ore., will have Gold Certification in the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program.
Recycled construction materials were used throughout the building, according to a press release from Stoller Vineyards. Rainwater runoff from the winery is collected in the facility’s pond, and wastewater is reused to irrigate a nearby pasture.
The winery also uses solar panels to provide almost half of its electrical needs.
