Green Energy Resources Targeting Wood in N.Y., N.J., Pa.

Green Energy Resources has announced plans to secure recycled wood and woodchips from urban and suburban sources in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania to expand its exports.

To accomplish this, Green Energy Resources is saturating New York areas businesses, townships and municipalities that have been paying upwards of $500 per truckload or more, to dispose of waste wood and offering to pay for the wood, turning expenses into profits. Instead, the company is offering as much as $25 per ton for the delivered wood. The company is seeking to bring in more than 50,000 tons per month of urban generated wood to meet its demands.

The wood must be clean, dry, free of resins, glues, paints and foreign objects for renewable energy application. The company makes suppliers sign a responsibility agreement of compliance that the woods are of certain quality, properly procured, not illegally harvested, with the sourcing readily identifiable, for chain of custody documentation and open to verification by the USDA Aphis agency.
