Green Energy Renewable Solutions Inc., Las Vegas has signed a long-term contract with Disposal Specialties LLC of Birmingham, Mich., which will guarantee up to 1,000 tons per day of construction and demolition debris for recycling operations at its Highland Park, Mich., facility.
Green Energy will process the incoming material to recover and process recyclables for re-introduction to the manufacturing stream. The company is targeting a recovery rate of about 85 percent of incoming material for recycling purposes.
"The Detroit Metro market is producing an average of over 10,000 tons of construction and demolition material daily,” says Joe DuRant, CEO of Green Energy. “This long-term contract guarantees us a steady stream of material to process and recover valuable materials and is the key to allowing us to execute on our business model. Disposal Specialties LLC has over 40 years experience in the C&D disposal business, and we are confident they will make a great partner."
