Environmental Building News, a periodical covering “green building” trends for builders and architects, has issued an updated edition of EBN Archives, featuring content from 99 back issues starting with the very first one, in 1992.
The new CD-ROM runs though the end of 2003. “This information-packed CD is a great time saver, [providing] instant access to more than 1,600 pages filled with accurate, reliable green building reporting,” says an EBN news release. Owners of the CD can find what they need using a text search feature or can browse a menu of articles organized by LEED® credit.
This disc includes all articles, photos and illustrations published in the EBN in the past twelve years just as they appeared in print. Content includes in-depth feature articles on a wide range of topics-from energy efficiency and recycled-content materials to land-use planning and indoor air quality.
“How-to” information is also part of the archives, including checklists with tips and suggestions, case studies that show how designers and builders are successfully incorporating green building ideas into their work, and reviews of green building products-often with comments from users on how they perform in the field.
The EBN Archives Edition 8.0 costs $199 for new users, while owners of prior versions can upgrade for $79. Those seeking more information can call BuildingGreen at (800) 861-0954 or visit www.BuildingGreen.com.
