Granite Construction Awarded $21.3 Million Taxiway Project

Work on Taxiway K at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport will begin in October 2005.

 

Granite Construction Inc. based in Watsonville, Calif. has announced that Granite Construction Co., a wholly owned subsidiary, has been awarded a $21.3 million airport taxiway reconstruction project by the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas.

 

The project involves the reconstruction of the existing Taxiway K and includes removal of existing concrete and asphalt pavement, unclassified excavation, repaving, drainage, pavement markings and electrical work.

 

The taxiway is 8,500 feet long and requires work in 10 sections in seven different phases.

 

Work will begin in October 2005 and is expected to be completed by February 2007, according to a press release from Granite Construction.
