Genie Industries, a subsidiary of Terex Corp., has been awarded a 2007 Innovative Product Award from Rental Equipment Register (RER) magazine in the lifts category for its Z-40/23N articulating boom.
The Z-40/23N features Genie’s AC drive system, which is designed to provide quiet energy-efficient operation and continuous control of drive speed, traction, braking and turning by combining DC batteries with independent inverter/controllers and 3-phase AC drive motors.
The Genie Z-40/23N is designed for applications in tight work spaces and offers a narrow profile of 4 feet, 11 inches wide, which allows it to easily fit through standard-sized double doors. It also has a tight turning radius of 2 feet, 11 inches, allowing it to easily maneuver through tight passageways and congested work areas.
