Cedar, who’s appointment became official Jan. 1, 2009, joined Paladin, Genesis’ parent company, in early 2008 as director of business development in Paladin’s Heavy Construction Division. Prior to joining the company, he held sales and marketing positions with motion control manufacturer Parker Hannifin and hydraulics specialist Rexroth. In those positions, Cedar held leadership roles in sales, marketing and general management, as well as tackling operational assignments.
“This is an outstanding opportunity for me, and I welcome the challenge,” he says. “Given the current state of the scrap recycling and construction markets, these are some of the most challenging times our customers have seen in a long time. Fortunately, we manufacture the kind of products that can help them maximize their potential—and their bottom line—and I’m excited to be able to play a key role in helping make that happen.”
