Geith displays couplers and crushers at ConExpo

The manual quick coupler was featured as part of the company’s new crusher unit.

Geith, a designer and manufacturer of excavator attachments with North American headquarters in Suwanee, Georgia, displayed a new crusher feature and a wide range of couplers at this year’s ConExpo in Las Vegas, March 7 to 11, inside booth #C30030. The featured coupler options include Geith’s manual quick coupler, tilting coupler and hydraulic quick coupler.

Geith’s manual quick coupler will be featured as part of the company’s new concrete crusher unit. “This is the very first time the Geith crusher is available with manual coupler capability,” says Geith Sales Manager Adrian Kelly. “This unit illustrates how Montabert continues to create high-performance, reliable solutions for our customers as their needs and applications evolve.”

The GT Series concrete crushers are designed for use with excavators weighing between 14,000 and 180,000 pounds in recycling and demolition applications. The series uses the excavator’s hydraulic forces to crush concrete and cut rebar.  Geith’s corresponding manual quick couplers are reversible and designed to allow easy installation.

Geith’s tilting quick coupler will be on display with a Geith bucket, and is designed for use with excavators, mini-excavators and backhoe loaders weighing between 6 and 26 tons. It is operated entirely from the inside of the cab and provides up to 180 degrees of side-to-side rotation. The tilting quick coupler has a patented “curl to release” control system and four independent locking components designed to meet all current and proposed safety standards, as well as an internal relief valve for overload protection and a variable pin center design to accommodate a wide variety of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) attachments.

The hydraulic quick coupler will be featured as part of the Geith package display with a heavy-duty bucket and hydraulic thumb. They feature front and rear safety locks and a safe release curl to open option.
