Garick Appoints Biomass VP

Marsollek named Cleveland company’s VP of biomass development.

Garick, a Cleveland-based distributor and processor of wood and soil products, has appointed Michael R. Marsollek as vice president of biomass development.

 

In his new role, Marsollek “will lead the development of Garick’s organic waste streams for its mulch and soil markets and energy markets,” according to the company.

 

Marsollek has gained knowledge of biomass markets in his previous roles as biomass fuel manager and operations staff manager for Market Street Energy in St. Paul, Minn. In that position, his primary responsibility was to build a fuel supply company that could handle the growing demands of the power plant.

 

Marsollek began his engineering career in the United States Navy from 1987 – 1991. At the University of Minnesota, Marsollek completed a documentary on “Renewable Energy for the Future,” and he has also authored numerous articles on the topic of renewable fuel.

Garick supplies the landscape, recreation, lawn, garden and construction industries using organic and green waste streams, such as lawn and garden, food, agriculture, and forest byproducts. The company produces organic mulches and soils.

 

Garick’s composting facilities and partnerships are located throughout North America. With these composting facilities and other terminals and ports located throughout the United States, Garick has supplies a range of products in bags, bales and in bulk.
