Flip Screen Australia Pty Ltd., a manufacturer of screening attachments, has named Peter Bigwood president of its U.S. operations, Flip Screen USA, based in Stillwater, Minn.
In his new position, Bigwood will be responsible for North American sales operations, which includes identifying new market segments and applications, building a sales team and developing new relationships with dealers and distributors.
Prior to joining Flip Screen, Bigwood worked at Atlas Copco Construction Tools LLC, where he served as president.
"We see the U.S. as a huge potential market for our products and, up until now, we have had little or no presence here,” says Sam Turnbull, Flip Screen’s founder. “Bringing in someone like Peter is part of our overall strategic plan to expand in key markets around the world and develop a solid platform for further growth."
"I am delighted to be joining Sam's group,” Bigwood says. “It is rare to find a unique, patented product line launched and so readily adopted around the world, especially given these tough economic conditions. I think that bodes well for our future success here."
Flip Screen screening buckets mount onto excavators, front-end loaders, backhoes and skid steers. The company’s products are stocked and shipped within the United States from a distribution center in southern California.
