More than 75 firefighters from two counties battled a two-alarm fire at a construction and demolition (C&D) debris facility in Clarksburg, Maryland, Aug. 15 morning, a report by WUSA9 says. Daniel Ogren, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesperson, crews were called to a large warehouse fire at the facility at 3 a.m.
The facility, known as C&D Recovery, specializes in the recycling and disposal of C&D debris and waste in the Maryland, Washington and Northern Virginia areas.
Crews were required to bring in tankers of water because of limited water supply on-site, the report says. Frederick County crews were also on-site helping to fight the fire and provide water.
No injuries have been reported, and officials are still working to determine the cause of the flames.
