A construction debris sorting and recycling plant has been shut down in Bourne, Massachusetts, until further notice, a report by Wicked Local says.
The closure happened after a fire at the center located in a space-metal building inside the adjacent landfill entrance, the report says. Around 70 firefighters responded on the night of Wednesday, Aug. 10.
Construction debris is delivered by contractors to the center, where it is sorted. The recycled material is then shipped off site.
