According to a company news release, the Fiberbak pile removal system can separate and deliver reclaimed fiber and backing separately, widening the scope for the recycling of waste materials. The company adds that the system has both economic and environmental benefits. Economically, pile and backing separation can be achieved on both carpet and tile products, allowing companies to recycle their waste and minimize their landfill costs.
Environmentally, the system benefits carpet manufacturers and waste recycling companies because it allows them to reduce both landfill waste and the impact that waste has on the environment. According to the company, features of the Fibreback removal system include an adjustable head for maximum fiber removal, operator panels housing all machine controls and a conveyor to suit the manual feed.
“FloorTek and the AFA are proud to be able to give companies in the flooring industry the opportunity to unveil their latest endeavors at this prestigious trade show," says Wanda Ellis, executive director of the AFA. "The Fibrebak pile removal system is cutting- edge in the carpet and tile recycling industry, and we are honored to be the launching pad for their distinguished product.”
