The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has extended its contract for hurricane generated C&D debris pickup in three Mississippi counties, according to a press release from FEMA.
The original contract was set to expire Feb. 28. Hancock, Harrison and Jackson counties now have until June 30.
Debris removal from public rights of way, including removal of concrete slab debris, is limited to property addresses that received regular garbage hauling service from local governments prior to 2005’s Hurricane Katrina.
