Houston-based FCC Environmental Services has acquired Houston Waste Solutions (HWS), a commercial solid waste collection company in the Houston metropolitan area.
HWS also owns and operates a transfer station for construction and demolition debris in the city. HWS serves more than 3,000 customers, including restaurants, hotels, shopping centers and apartment complexes. The company has a fleet of 40 trucks and 70 employees.
According to a news release from FCC Environmental Services, the acquisition represents an increase of around $70 million in the portfolio of the company. With this investment, FCC Environmental Services says it is reinforcing “its presence in the Houston commercial market as it did last year in the Dallas metropolitan area with the purchase of Premier Waste Services LLC.”
FCC Environmental Services now serves more than 10 million Americans in five states, including California, Florida, Iowa, Nebraska and Texas.
