Ewles Materials Adds Location

Company also launches new corporate Web site.

Ewles Materials, a company with crushing and recycling operations in Orange County for more than 40 years, has added a fourth concrete and asphalt recycling center to expand its footprint in Southern California and to serve what it calls a growing customer base.

The new facility in Murietta, Calif., will crush and recycle various concrete and asphalt materials and maintain an inventory of aggregate base materials. The company says the Murietta plant is the latest phase in its Southern California expansion strategy, designed to serve its customers based or working in Orange and Riverside Counties.

“Customer service is the hallmark of our family-owned and -run company,” says David Ewles, vice president of operations. “We have consistently and successfully recognized the opportunities to provide many different services to our customer base, starting with developing ways to facilitate construction material recycling, which began in 1970.”

Stanton, Calif.-based Ewles Materials has worked with CalTrans, the County of Orange, local cities and many businesses throughout Southern California to develop, adopt and follow precise specifications for the use of recycled base materials as aggregate base in construction jobs.

The Murietta facility follows Ewles’ strategy of operating an “Urban Quarry,” which is located in an area that can serve customers in areas where stone quarries can be harder to reach. The sites feature full-time crushing plants and maintain a significant inventory of material and equipment, according to the company.

Immediate availability of materials assures customers that they can count on Ewles to deliver them promptly through a dedicated, wholly-owned trucking and transportation fleet, says David Ewles.

In addition to the new plant in Murietta, Ewles operates facilities in Stanton, Irvine and San Juan Capistrano, Calif.

Also as part of the company’s continuing growth, Ewles recently launched its own Web site, providing customers with information on materials available, its locations and contact information.

The Web site can be visited at www.ewlesmaterials.com.
