Environmental Cleanup Firm Conducts Successful Onsite Training At Its New Headquarters

EnviroVantage supervisors complete refresher courses for lead and asbestos licensing.

EnviroVantage, Inc., Epping, N.H., a leader in the safe handling of hazardous materials at building and historic reconstruction sites, announced today that its management team has successfully completed annual refresher courses in asbestos and lead abatement training.

The courses, required by the Occupational and Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) respectively, took place at EnviroVantage's training facility at its Epping headquarters.

Wendy Johnson, an instructor with the Institute for Environmental Education (IEE), facilitated the asbestos course on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007 for twenty EnviroVantage supervisors.  The eight-hour course includes a written test workers must pass to maintain their asbestos licenses in compliance with OSHA requirements.

On Friday, Dec. 28, EnviroVantage supervisors also participated in an eight-hour course on lead abatement.  Vicki Shallow, a specialist with New Hampshire's Department of Environmental Services, audited the IEE-led session to ensure the course content covered all EPA standards and guidelines.

"The training was a success and conducting it onsite saved us time and enabled us to share our facility and resources with industry officials," says EnviroVantage founder and President Scott Knightly. "We avail customers and associates use of our training room for any purpose that furthers our mission of eco-friendly materials management."

EnviroVantage does environmental cleanup in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Vermont.
