Energy solutions provider Dynamotive Energy Systems Corp., Vancouver, British Columbia, has announced planned investments and the site location for its new BioOil plant in Guelph, Ontario, and product research lab in Waterloo, Ontario.
The Guelph plant is being developed with MegaCity Recycling Inc., Toronto. The plant will operate under the name Evolution Biofuels Inc.
Work on the 22-acre site started Oct. 7, and the plant is expected to start producing BioOil in the first quarter of 2007, according to a news release from Dynamotive.
MegaCity processes construction and demolition wood for secondary markets, such as feedstock for particle or chipboard manufacturing. Dynamotive processes dry biomass and energy crops into BioOil for power and heat generation.
