United Kingdom-based Edge Innovate debuted two new shredders at ConExpo 2020 in Las Vegas in March. The firm says the new VS420 and HS750 models are high-capacity units designed to shred a wide variety of recyclable materials.
The Edge HS750 “is a totally new concept to the shredder world,” says the firm, offering operators a high capacity, horizontal slow-speed shredder “that combines impressive throughput, the ability to withstand difficult to shred materials and superior resistance to non-shreddables.”
The new model combines “the benefits of a high torque, slow-speed shredder with a horizontal positive feed delivery system [that] incorporates an intelligent material management and a tramp metal protection system,” adds Edge Innovate.
Edge describes the VS420 model as a high-capacity, high-torque twin-shaft shredder that is ideal for the processing of a large array of materials including green waste, municipal solid waste, C&D materials, biomass and scrap tires.
“Edge’s next generation shredder has been developed for ultimate versatility and high resistance to contaminants, with a number of customizable shredding programs and chamber configurations available,” states the firm. It says an “intelligent operating system” has been designed to incorporate tramp metal protection, providing “the ultimate security from contaminants” and preventing damage to the machine.
