Economic Census Forms Arriving

More than 4 million American businesses are expected to receive 2007 Economic Census forms the week of December 17, 2007.

According to the Census Bureau, businesses that receive a form are required by law to complete and return the forms. A news alert from the Bureau cites “Title 13, U.S. Code,” as the applicable law. The due date for completed forms is Feb. 12, 2008.

The Bureau’s Web site at business.census.gov provides information about the Economic Census. It also “provides statistics [visitors] can use to assess and grow their business operations,” according to the Bureau.

Among the features on the site are graphic “Industry Snapshots” for more than 1,000 industry sectors.
