Eagle Materials Inc., Dallas-based building materials manufacturer, has announced plans to expand its Illinois Cement Co. subsidiary’s cement manufacturing plant in LaSalle, Ill.
Eagle’s Board of Directors has approved a $65 million expansion project with the goal of increasing the facility’s production capacity by about 65 percent to approximately 1.1 million tons of cement per year.
The facility, which opened in 1974, currently has an annual capacity of approximately 670,000 tons of cement.
