The Spiracle CFS removes crankcase aerosol and particulate using Donaldson’s proprietary Synteq XP, a new media that has a lower operating pressure drop, higher overall efficiency and longer filter life compared to traditional media, according to the company.
Spiracle CFS systems reduce blow-by emissions generated from an open crankcase vent and prevent fouling turbochargers or intercoolers in Closed Crankcase Ventilation (CCV) systems. Spiracle CFS also reduces in-cab fumes and draft tube “road drips,” keeps the engine enclosures free from oil film and reduces engine oil consumption.
Spiracle CFS is a serviceable filtration system that employs a custom designed pressure regulator in CCV systems to reduce excess vacuum and custom designed pressure relief valve to prevent excessive crankcase pressure build-up.
