A Rock Hill, S.C., accountant has begun the application process to build a construction and demolition debris landfill in Clover, S.C., about three miles away from the site where Greeneagle Inc. has made a contested proposal to do the same, according to a report in the Herald (Rock Hill, S.C.).
Robert Faulkner has been granted a demonstration of need for up to 105,000 tons of debris per year by the state Department of Health and Environmental Control, according to the report. He will have to start applying for zoning changes and show that his plan is consistent with existing local waste plans.
