The Detroit Free Press has reported that an internal audit of the city of Detroit’s demolition program has found about $1 million in expenditures improperly billed to the state.
The news article reported that the audit follows an announcement by Detroit’s Mayor Mike Duggan that the U.S. Treasury Department suspended the program for two months beginning in August.
