Demolition Resources Inc. (DRI), Phoenix, has introduced its modular light duty baler (MLBD) to the North American market. The MLDB is a two-piece machine designed to bale light ferrous and nonferrous metals typically found in mid- to high-rise interiors. It can be maneuvered into a freight elevator and around building floors on its directional heavy-duty casters.
The MLDB is powered by 3-phase electric and has integrated alligator shear to cut unwieldy pieces. It is designed to create uniform 16-inch bales that can be stacked on a rolling cart or pallet in a cycle time of less than a minute. Set up for the baler uses 3 pins and quick connect hydraulic hoses.
DRI says the baler is designed to create a to 12-1 ratio reduction in elevator trips with the waste material and give customers a premium price for metal with bales that are prepared.
