Goodman Group, a global infrastructure provider, has announced the completed demolition of the former New York Daily News printing site in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Vacated by the Daily News in 2022, the 17-acre site was purchased by Goodman in 2024, with the sale of the property estimated to be between $90-$100 million, according to the Daily News.
With the demolition complete, Goodman has received planning board approval and is set to transform the site, located at 125 Theodore Conrad Drive, into a logistics hub known as the Goodman Logistics Center Jersey City.
The proposed two-building development will include 427,130 square feet of warehouse space. The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2026.
“Goodman Logistics Center Jersey City will set a new benchmark for high-productivity logistics space in one of the most supply-constrained markets in the U.S.,” Goodman North America CEO Anthony Rozic says. “Revitalizing this iconic site enables us to deliver modern infrastructure that supports the evolving needs of our customers.”
A team from CBRE Group Inc., headquartered in Dallas, is spearheading the leasing on behalf of Goodman.
