Deconstruction Workshop Scheduled

King County’s Green Building Program is offering a half-day Building Salvage & Deconstruction Workshop the morning of Thursday, Dec. 14.

The event takes place from  8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the AGC Conference Center on Westlake Ave. North in Seattle.

According to Kinley Deller, Waste Reduction Specialist with King County's Green Building Program the event will cover several topics, including:

• Ways to maximize building material salvage prior to demolition
• Hybrid and full deconstruction of residential and commercial buildings
• Commonly salvaged materials and end markets for used building materials
• Recent research on local demolition practices and deconstruction opportunities.
