Cross Environmental Services, a subsidiary of CES Synergies Inc., headquartered in Crystal Springs, Fla., has received a contract and has begun to provide remediation and demolition services on a corridor extension for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The company says the contract is valued at more than $1 million with an anticipated duration of 18 months.
The project requires abatement of asbestos containing material (ACM) and the demolition of commercial structures extending into the right of way for the proposed expansion of State Road 7 in Broward County in southern Florida. The scope of work consists of wet method ACM abatement where necessary, and the structural dismantlement and demolition of the buildings. All materials from the abatement activities are disposed of in licensed facilities, and demolition debris is segregated to maximize the recycling and reuse of the materials removed from the site.
John Tostanoski, president of the company, says, "We're very pleased to continue our relationship with FDOT, District IV, which is a nice complement to the work we have done, and continue to do, with FDOT throughout many of its districts in Florida."
