Cross Environmental Services Inc., Crystal Springs, Florida, a subsidiary of the specialty environmental services company CES Synergies Inc., has been awarded a contract to perform abatement and demolition services at two U.S. Army bases located in Georgia.
The company has begun mobilizing to provide remediation, abatement and demolition services as a subcontractor at Fort Benning and Fort Stewart.
The subcontract work, valued at $1.3 million, will be completed on certain buildings at both Army bases.
The project requires abatement and removal of asbestos containing material (ACM), including the removal of universal waste within the buildings at both Army installations, and demolition of all structures and foundations to a minimum depth of 4 feet. Cross Environmental’s work on the project is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2015.
Clyde Biston, CEO of Cross Environmental Services, says, “This subcontract work combines CES’ specialties as a specialized environmental and demolition contractor. CES welcomes the opportunity to work for this contractor and improve the facilities benefitting the U.S. military.”
