ConstructMyFuture.com Names Scholarship Winners

Three students to receive $1,000.

 

ConstructMyFuture.com has named the 2005 winners of its three $1,000 student scholarships supporting construction-focused higher education.

 

ConstructMyFuture.com provides students, teachers, counselors and parents with Internet-based resources highlighting the opportunities in and benefits of careers in the construction industry. The workforce development initiative is the joint effort of three construction industry trade associations, the Associated Equipment Distributors Foundation (AEDF), the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).

 

The 2005 scholarship winners are:

  • Adam Albright of Carlisle, Pa. Albright will apply his $1,000 scholarship to his education at the Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, Pa., where he studies heavy construction equipment technology.

 

  • Ethel Chan of Lawrenceville, N.J. Chan received $1,000 to apply to her studies at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, N.J., where she is working toward her degree in construction engineering technology.

 

  • Drew Thelen of Twin Lakes, Wis., a 2005 graduate of Wilmont High School, Wilmont, Wis. Thelen received $1,000 to help fund his construction management studies at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wis.

 

The ConstructMyFuture.com scholarship program is open to students and construction industry professionals.

 

ConstructMyFutre.com is now accepting applications for the scholarships it will award in 2006. The deadline to apply is Feb. 3, 2006.
