The Bristol, Conn., Zoning Board has voted to deny a local contractor’s application to expand his facility to include an aggregate materials recycling operation, according to a report in the Bristol Press (Bristol, Conn.).
The board voted unanimously against construction contractor Martin Laviero Constractors Inc.’s application for a permit to process earth materials and recycled aggregate, saying the facility is too close to a residential neighborhood, according to the report.
The Bristol Press reports that the Zoning Board amended regulations a few months ago to allow recycling operations like the one proposed by Martin Laviero Contractors, but only by special permit.
