ConExpo Gains Steam

Exhibit space booking quickly for 2005 event.

Exhibit space sales for ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005 have broken the 1.5 million net square foot mark with nearly one year to go before the event starts, according to the show’s organizers. The global construction and construction materials show will be held March 15-19, 2005 inside and surrounding the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The Construction Materials Recycling Association (CMRA) is one of several industry trade groups that will be holding its 2005 annual meeting in conjunction with ConExpo. The CMRA Annual Meeting will take place March 16 at the Treasure Island hotel.

To date, more than 875 exhibitors have reserved space for ConExpo, with the show attracting a mix of established and new exhibitors, large and small companies and products from all construction and construction materials industry segments, according to show organizers.

“ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005 is building momentum,” says 2005 show co-chair Brenton P. Cook of Aggregate Industries, Kalamazoo, Mich. “Exhibitors understand the value this show will deliver by connecting them with more customers than any other event in the world in 2005.”

Show management also notes that in addition to continuing demand for space from new exhibitors, many companies already in the show are increasing their exhibit space total. “Economic conditions have improved significantly since space sales opened, so many exhibitors are expanding their exhibit plans. They know that their customers view ConExpo-Con/Agg as the place to find the industry’s latest products and services and that they will come to the show ready to make purchasing decisions,” remarks Gerald Shaheen, Group President of Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, Ill., who is the show’s other co-chair.

ConExpo is being billed as the world’s largest international gathering place in 2005 for the construction and construction materials industries, featuring the latest equipment, services and technologies at its indoor and outdoor exhibit space as well as in accompanying educational sessions.
