Standard Concrete Products Inc., Columbus, Ga., has announced that it is considering Theodore, Ala., as the site for a 200-worker plant, according to a report in the Mobile Register (Mobile, Ala.).
The plant would support Standard Concrete’s bid to rebuild Gulf Coast roads and bridges damaged by Hurricane Katrina, according to the report.
The Mobile Industrial Development Board has approved a 10-year package of tax incentives designed to bring the project to town.
According to the report, the plant would produce concrete road panels and “pre-stressed” beams.
