A concrete crushing facility in Chesterfield Township, Mich., will remain idle for another two weeks, according to a report in the Macomb Daily (Mt. Clemens, Mich.).
The Township Zoning Board of Appeals has denied a request for a permit by Pamar Enterprises that would allow the company to resume operations.
The facility has generated some controversy because of its proximity to an elementary school. Residents have voiced concerns over the amount of dust generated by the concrete crushing operation, according to the report.
