Columbus McKinnon Corp., (CM ), a designer, manufacturer and marketer of recycling and material handling products, has appointed Lawrence Gavin (right) executive director and chief procurement officer.
In his new role, Gavin will be responsible for oversight of CM’s global purchasing program and will work closely with stakeholders to drive the company’s procurement and global sourcing performance.
Gavin, a member of the company’s executive committee, most recently served as procurement director for Navistar International, where he directed and revamped procurement efforts in Europe, Asia and North America for Navistar, Delphi and General Motors. In his stint with Navistar, Gavin played a key role in the implementation of global category teams, a number of product launches and the operation of business unit procurement teams, according to a CM news release.
