Columbia Crushing & Screening Named New McCloskey Distributor

John O’Neill, vice president of McCloskey International, Peterborough, Ontario, a designer and manufacturer of screening and crushing products, has announced that Columbia Crushing & Screening LLC, Sherwood, Ore., is now the company’s official distributor for the states of Oregon, Washington and Idaho. 

The new partnership grew out of talks that Kieran Waterson, Columbia president, had with McCloskey representatives at ConExpo in Las Vegas earlier this year. “After meeting and talking to McCloskey President Paschal McCloskey and John O’Neill in Vegas, we decided that adding the McCloskey line to our inventory was a prudent business decision,” Waterson says. “Furthermore, when we saw the C50 Jaw Crusher and the C44 Cone Crusher, we knew that adding the line will definitely open up new markets for us with contractors in our territory.”

In its seventh year of operation, Columbia Crushing & Screening LLC is also an authorized Kleemann dealer and serves the construction and pit and excavating industries in its territory. Both of the company’s McCloskey and Kleemann product lines crush and/or separate materials, such as quarry aggregate, coal, sand and gravel, topsoil, compost and wood bark as well as recycle construction and demolition waste.

Working out of its two branch locations, Columbia installs, commissions and services the equipment it sells and carries a large inventory of spare parts for its product lines, according to the press release. 

Waterson says that the McCloskey line will be a nice complement to the larger Kleemann machines in his company’s inventory and provide another option for his customers in making the appropriate equipment choice to meet their needs.

Columbia plans on promoting its McCloskey line with four sales representatives and four service technicians.
