A new feature within the www.CDRecycler.com Web site will allow members of the Construction Materials Recycling Association (CMRA) to build a virtual membership directory that they can consult any time from their Internet connection.
CMRA Public Relations Committee chairman Rick Givan and other members of that committee will soon be contacting association members for their permission to have their contact information posted online in a special “CMRA Members” section of the Business Cards area of the www.CDRecycler.com Web site.
Once CMRA members have their own Business Cards virtual networking section, they can look for fellow members in different parts of the country when searching for subcontractors or otherwise seeking information from outside their typical operating region. “Our association’s members tend to have a high degree of confidence in and respect for their fellow CMRA members,” says William Turley, the group’s executive director.
Turley also believes that other visitors to the www.CDRecycler.com Web site seeking industry insiders will take advantage of the CMRA Members section of the Business Cards area when looking for a knowledgeable contractor.
The CMRA Business Cards initiative is just one of several cooperative steps that have recently been announced between the CMRA and the Recycling Today Media Group, publishers of C&D Recycler magazine and operators of the www.CDRecycler.com Web site.
Additionally, the two organizations will be boosting the number of links and the visibility of links between their two Web sites. The increased linking options should serve to steer CMRA members and prospective members to the www.CDRecycler.com Web site for breaking news. As well, regular visitors to the www.CDRecycler.com Web site and its monthly e-newsletter, C&D Update, will soon have more opportunities to link to the CMRA’s www.cdrecycling.org Web site.
“Having regular visitors to the www.CDRecycler.com Web site linking to our CMRA Web site provides us with an opportunity to boost our membership,” says Turley. “Good things should happen as the industry’s leading news organization continues to work more closely with its leading trade association,” he remarked.
