The Construction Materials Recycling Association (CMRA) is now accepting applications for its Second Annual C&D Recycling Awards Program. The program is designed to recognize individuals, companies and organizations that have achieved operational excellence in the recycling of construction and demolition materials.
Awards are given in four categories:
• C&D Recycling Facility of the Year, which honors a nominated facility that handles all types of construction and demolition materials;
• Concrete/Asphalt Recycling Facility of the Year, designed to recognize excellence in the recycling of concrete and asphalt;
• Government Recycling Program of the Year, which is targeted toward the nominated public sector recycling program that provides substantial contributions to construction and demolition recycling;
• Recycler of the Year is an honor bestowed by the CMRA Board of Directors to the individual who has made superior and substantial contributions to his or her company and industry during the past year or during his or her career.
The criteria for the awards have been simplified, making the development of an application much easier, according to the CMRA. Those criteria include research, planning, implementation, results and application quality.
For an application for the awards, contact the CMRA at (630) 585-7530 or via e-mail at info@cdrecycling.org. The brochure can also be downloaded off the CMRA’s Web site at www.cdrecycling.org.
