East Manufacturing, Randolph, Ohio, announced the appointment of Chuck Stephens as western sales representative. In his new role, Stephens will be responsible for overseeing dealer sales for East trailers including flatbed, drop deck, dump and refuse trailers as well as dump bodies.
“After a brief retirement, Chuck’s long-term experience with East trailers is an asset to East once again,” says Charlie Wells, vice president sales and marketing. “We are excited to have Chuck and his decades of trailer sales experience back with us as we move into the future.”
Stephens will now cover the U.S. territories west of the Mississippi River, a territory he is very familiar with after covering it from 1995 to 2001. Stephens originally joined East in 1980 as a sales trainee, serving direct trailer sales in Ohio. Subsequently, Stephens became dealer manager and product manager for refuse trailers before leaving for Cellular One in 1987.
After his return to East in 1995, he was western regional manager, then manager of used trailer sales until his retirement in 2014.
After traveling with the Ohio Cavalry, the largest Civil War Cavalry unit in the United States, Stephens returned to East.
