Houston-based demolition and recycling firm Cherry has announced the addition of C. J. Waller Jr. to the Cherry team. Coming from Texas-based L&W Excavators, where he served as company president and CEO, Waller’s relationship with Cherry has developed from a mutual alignment of interest and consulting, to a full-time position, where he will be working on bolstering Cherry’s existing services, the company says.
As a Houston native and graduate of the University of Houston in Industrial Technology, Waller says he takes pride in the privilege of being a part of the Cherry Cos. Whether it is fulfilling his chaplaincy duties for the Brazoria County Sheriff Office, working on his family’s ranch or developing upstream assets at Cherry, Waller believes that consistency with flexibility is the key to success and a quality work ethic.
Cherry specializes in the removal of all types of structures. In addition, Cherry’s eight Houston-area recycling centers produce a variety of grades of recycled products. Producing more than two million tons of concrete and asphalt and thousands of tons of steel every year, Cherry also recycles residential composition asphalt shingles and tires.
