Charah Solutions Inc., an environmental services and byproduct recycling provider to the power generation industry, has appointed Matthew Sutton as president and CEO, effective Jan. 22.
Sutton will report to Charah Solutions Executive Chairman Curt Morgan and the company’s board of directors. Charah says Sutton is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience leading organizations in the environment, energy and construction sectors.
“[Matthew] brings proven experience in executive leadership and value creation to Charah Solutions and the SER Capital Partners’ family,” Morgan says. “Our board of directors conducted an extensive search for a candidate with broad environmental industry experience and expertise across many sectors and [who] demonstrated executive leadership.
“Matthew’s background and experience fit the criteria we set out to fulfill in our hire of a new CEO. He has a proven track record of leading, improving and growing the organizations he oversees. Matthew was the enthusiastic and unanimous selection."
