CDE Ireland Ltd., based in Cookstown, Ireland, has won the Chartered Institute of Accountants Spirit of Enterprise Award. CDE specializes in the design and manufacture of aggregate processing equipment.
The awards, organized by the Ulster Society of Chartered Accountants and Hewlett-Packard in association with Business Eye Magazine, were established to reward a series of local companies which have demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and creativity. CDE becomes the fifth company to pick up the monthly award and will go forward for consideration for the overall award at the end of the series.
The company, which, in addition to Cookstown, has offices in England, Poland, the Middle East and India, realized a 97 percent increase in exports last year. So far this year the company reports bookings to date increasing by 70 percent from last year.
